Our investment approach centres on the strategy widely known as ‘Core-Satellite’.
Historically, in lower return environments, passive fund management generally outperforms
active fund management due to significantly lower charges.
At Sigma we believe that the Core element of a portfolio should be made up of passive funds (Exchange Traded Funds) combined with alternative asset Satellites. This balances cost effectiveness whilst allowing true diversification and risk mitigation.
